Media Relations Case Study

Adris Digital Africa, in partnership with Blu Flamingo, has successfully executed a media relations campaign for UAP Old Mutual in Uganda. The goal of the campaign was to create awareness for UAP Old Mutual and to make them stand out in the competitive insurance industry in Uganda.

Strategy

The campaign started with a thorough analysis of the media landscape in Uganda, identifying the key journalists, bloggers, and media outlets relevant to the insurance industry. The next phase involved creating compelling content and engaging media pitches to capture the attention of the media. Adris Digital Africa leveraged its extensive network of media contacts in Uganda to pitch stories that highlighted UAP Old Mutual’s unique selling points and showcased its expertise in the industry. The team also organized exclusive media events and press briefings that gave journalists an opportunity to learn more about UAP Old Mutual, its products, and its services.

To further enhance UAP Old Mutual’s visibility and credibility, Adris Digital Africa secured strategic media placements in top-tier media outlets in Uganda such as The Daily Monitor, The Observer, NTV Uganda, and others. These placements were a result of the team’s strong relationships with key journalists and media personalities.

Adris Digital Africa’s efforts resulted in increased media coverage and mention for UAP Old Mutual in Uganda. The media placements not only raised brand awareness but also positioned UAP Old Mutual as a thought leader in the insurance industry. The campaign’s success was further evident in the positive feedback received from the client who reported an increase in inquiries and interest in their products and services.

Results

For the year 2022, the total Advertising Value Earned by UAP Old Mutual was over 389,049,000. While in the first quarter of 2022, the AVE was, courtesy of intensifying media strategy, 148, 000,000.
